SERVPRO’s Professional Cleaning Products: Gum Remover

The SERVPRO Professional Cleaning Products (SPCP) Division manufactures and distributes professional cleaning products to all franchises.

Gum Remover is a Freon-based freezing agent combined with an environmentally compatible special blend of highly volatile products that uses the cooling effect of the gas to embrittle gum, candle wax, putty and other gummy substances so that they might be more easily removed. It is safe for use on most textiles and contains no Chlorofluorocarbons.

APPLICATION

SERVPRO of Bear/New Castle’s cleaning professionals will remove as much surface material as possible with a bone scraper or dull knife. The Gum Remover is then sprayed on the remaining material and a small hammer is used to softly tap the area. The excess material is vacuumed up and the process is repeated if necessary. Any remaining residue will be removed by using a volatile solvent.

 TIPS AND TRICKS

Gum Remover works well for removing melted crayons.
