Specialized Equipment Used to Dry a Gymnasium’s Hardwood Floors

When this gymnasium hardwood flooring got wet during a water damage it caused serious problems.  The water penetrated the flooring and traveled under the floor boards which caused them to swell and in some areas begin to buckle. 

After removing the water from the surface we used specialized floor drying equipment used specifically for drying hardwood flooring, called DriForce Floor Drying System and Mats (#801). The system works by placing plastic mats on the wet flooring and using high pressure to draw out the evaporated moisture from the affected area. The air mover creates a vacuum seal on the mats that moves air from the subfloor to the surface. The drying process took a few days to return the moisture content of the floor to normal but re-finishing was not required!

When it comes to wet hardwood flooring, time is of the essence.  The sooner the drying process begins the better the end result.  With 24 hour emergency service we can be on-site within 4 hours to begin the drying process.
